Join a dynamic radiology team at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center in Providence, Rhode Island, where you will play a key role in delivering fast, accurate imaging that directly impacts patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work at the highest level of emergency and trauma care, alongside experienced emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, specialists, and a strong interdisciplinary team. Providence is a vibrant coastal capital city known for its historic charm, walkable neighborhoods, and thriving arts and culinary scenes. The city offers beautiful waterfront views along the Providence River, restored historic districts, and a lively downtown with theaters, galleries, and year-round cultural events. Home to several colleges and universities, Providence has an energetic, innovative atmosphere with plenty of coffee shops, parks, and unique restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy nearby beaches, sailing and kayaking, as well as easy access to hiking and scenic drives throughout New England. Providence also offers convenient access to Boston, Cape Cod and Newport by car or train, making weekend getaways simple and appealing. Within this Level 1 Trauma Center, the radiology department supports a full spectrum of emergency and inpatient care, including complex trauma, stroke, cardiac, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases. You will be part of a team that values clinical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with a strong focus on patient safety, communication, and teamwork. As a Radiologic Technologist, your typical day will involve performing diagnostic X-ray imaging for emergency department patients, trauma activations, inpatients and surgical cases. Responsibilities include completing portable radiography in the emergency department, intensive care units and patient floors, supporting imaging in the operating room for orthopedic and other surgical procedures, and performing routine and urgent imaging in designated radiology suites. You will be expected to prioritize STAT and trauma cases, work closely with providers to clarify orders, and ensure timely completion and transmission of images for interpretation.
