Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Remote Diagnostic Radiologists to provide services to eligible beneficiaries of the Providence VA Healthcare System located at 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7am-8:00pm with call (optional if local to the facility). Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret:
    • X-Ray
    • CT
    • MRI
    • Ultrasound
    • Nuclear Medicine
    • DEXA
    • Fluoroscopy studies
  • Review imaging requests for appropriateness.
  • Protocol studies and oversee imaging procedures.
  • Prescribe contrast agents and imaging protocols.
  • Provide guidance to radiology technologists.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR standards and ALARA radiation safety principles.
  • Communicate critical and urgent findings to providers.
  • Identify and report poor image quality or equipment issues.
  • STAT exams: within 1 hour
  • ASAP exams: within 8 hours
  • Routine exams: within 48 hours
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding:
    • X-Ray
    • CT
    • MRI
    • PET/CT
    • Ultrasound
    • Nuclear Medicine
    • Fluoroscopy
  • Assist in selecting appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Review consults and pre-review scheduled examinations.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain licensure, certifications, and CME requirements.
  • Participate in accreditation and compliance reviews.
  • Support radiation safety and quality programs.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring staff when needed.
  • Respond to leadership and administrative requests.
Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor (MD/DO).
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
  • Must be:
    • Board Certified OR
    • Board Eligible through the American Board of Radiology.
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • Active AHA BLS and ACLS
  • NPI report printout
  • Active DEA license
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
