Production Supervisor – Weekend Shift

Position Summary
Sigan America is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations during our Weekend Shift. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment while meeting production, quality, and efficiency goals through effective leadership of production employees.
The Production Supervisor provides daily direction, coaching, training, and accountability to production personnel while driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation.
Weekend Shift Schedule
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Full-time exempt position
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees on the assigned shift.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Assign work and manage staffing to maximize production efficiency.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production priorities.
- Monitor production performance and respond quickly to operational issues.
- Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, FDA regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning to resolve production issues.
- Investigate production problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor labor utilization and production performance against established goals.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to 5S standards.
- Coach employees through performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance evaluations, corrective action, and recognition activities.
- Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a positive work environment.
- Prepare production reports and communicate shift performance during shift turnover.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
- Experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Experience in FDA-regulated, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or Continuous Improvement.
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing software systems.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility for extended periods.
- Frequently climb stairs, bend, reach, stoop, and inspect equipment.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
