POSITION SUMMARY:
  • The purpose of the RN Weekend Supervisor position is to provide support and
    oversight to the nursing department by organizing and managing nursing services provided by the facility on weekends.
  • Assists the DON in the supervision of nursing care and nursing staff on weekends.
  • The Weekend RN Supervisor assists in management, delegation, and contribution to nursing department programs such as
    weights, infection control, incidents and accidents, gradual dose reductions, etc.
  • Assists in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and scope of
    practice.
  • Overseeing nursing services during the evenings and weekends, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Managing clinical staff and operations during weekend shifts, including medication passes and direct resident care.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic patient care.
  • Developing and implementing individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including monitoring health status and vital signs.
  • Providing emotional support and education to residents and their families, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their well-being.
