Job description

  • Monitor game portfolios and recommend actions to maintain high performance
  • Track industry games, trends, and promotions
  • Serve as subject matter expert on draw and Fast Play games
  • Research new game concepts, designs, add-on features, and bonus opportunities
  • Lead game development with vendors and CLC departments for market introduction
  • Recommend and manage research projects with gaming and research partners
  • Use research data to inform new game development and evolve existing games
  • Assess testing methods for accuracy and reliability
  • Manage the product lifecycle of draw and Fast Play games
  • Monitor KPIs and analyze game sales to identify weaknesses and profitable opportunities
  • Recommend new draw and digital game introductions
  • Collaborate with CLC departments and vendor partners on product lines
  • Support game launches and ongoing game operations
  • Create, review, and improve game development processes
  • Evaluate and recommend prize structures, ticket designs, game user interfaces, system software requirements, and User Acceptance Testing
  • Produce ad-hoc reports on promotions, sales performance, profitability, game activity, and retailer activity
  • Define player segments and iLottery game promotions with Digital Marketing and CRM Managers
  • Strategize multichannel advertising opportunities with the Advertising Director
  • Maintain working knowledge of CLC Gaming System and iLottery platform functionality
  • Collaborate with partner states and MUSL on multi-state games and act as primary liaison with internal stakeholders
  • Provide game data and information for publications, lotteries, staff, and stakeholders
  • Work some early mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Perform occasional industry-related travel
  • Report to the Director of Lottery Games
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business, finance or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible product management/development experience
  • Prior lottery experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to compile, analyze and present data through reports and presentations
  • Knowledge of new product development stages, project management techniques, basic statistical techniques, and MSO software
  • Experience using Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and File Transfer Protocol
  • Skills in handling massive amounts of data and translating data into actionable plans
  • Strong understanding of product research methodologies and plan execution
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, prioritization, deadline management, strategic thinking, stakeholder expectation alignment, and marketing research techniques
  • Ability to translate data into information and insights, collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including presentations to large groups
  • Sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and accountability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and highly accountable environment
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across an organization
  • Offer of employment is subject to Department of Consumer Protection licensing requirement
  • Must submit a CLC application, cover letter, and resume
