Job description

RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist, expertise in Fetal Echocardiography or advanced imaging would be welcome– Northern Region of the Children’s Health Network. The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Pediatric Cardiologist to join our Division of Cardiology within the Children’s Health Network. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to evidence-based care, improved clinical outcomes, and expanding access to diverse communities.

The Division provides comprehensive care for congenital and pediatric heart disease delivering specialized interventional, electrophysiology, and surgical services.

As a Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School teaching partner, the candidate will engage in collaborative academic pursuits and provide mentorship to residents and fellows.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.

  • Adept in Transthoracic echocardiography, additional skills in transesophageal and or Fetal Echocardiography will help with program needs and professional advancement.

  • Participate in inpatient rounding and consultation for pediatric cardiac patients.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, nurse practitioners, and other care team members.

  • Participate in call coverage (e.g., rotating nights and weekends)

  • Interest in education, participate in medical student and resident teaching.

  • This opportunity is ideal for a physician seeking to make a direct impact on the health of children across New Jersey. We are looking for an exceptional, quality-driven cardiologist to thrive within our multidisciplinary team and advance pediatric heart care through evidence-based practices at RWJBarnabas Health.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Cardiology

  • American Board of Pediatrics Certified/Eligible

  • NJ licensed or eligible for NJ licensure

  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, outcomes-driven clinical care

Preferred candidates will:

  • Have experience or additional training in Fetal Cardiology

  • Seek to advance professional expertise in preventive cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, or exercise physiology

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $260,000 to $425,000 per year.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
