Job description

The Semiconductor Line Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment and facility support systems. This role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work in a cleanroom environment, and collaboration with production, engineering, and facilities teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

Pay: $26 - $34

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience; semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with vacuum pumps, pneumatic systems, precision mechanical assemblies, and rotating equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and alignment equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and CMMS experience.
  • Ability to work compressed or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor tools such as:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on semiconductor production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot vacuum systems, pumps, valves, gas delivery systems, and process equipment.
  • Replace and align bearings, belts, couplings, motors, seals, pumps, and other mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures.
  • Complete maintenance work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and document parts usage.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, chemical safety, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Work closely with process engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve equipment uptime.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and shift reports.
