Description

The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art, Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our team of ten Surgeons, ten Mid-Level Providers and our dynamic clinical team are dedicated to providing compassionate and cutting-edge orthopedic care. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Pre-Operative Assessment Nurse to join our lively team.


This position involves daytime shift work; no weekends, no holidays, no call!


POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

As a Pre-Operative Assessment RN, you will be responsible for evaluating each patient's health, medical history, and current conditions to ensure optimal fitness for surgery and identify potential risks. You will ensure patients are fully informed of the planned treatment, including post operative care and instructions. You will also provide answers to all patients' queries and questions or escalate appropriately.


The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent patient care, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Current American Heart BLS certification and ACLS/PALS.
  • Prior experience caring for patients in an outpatient surgical setting.
