Unit Information: StoneSprings Hospital L&D Unit Location: Northern Virginia (30 miles outside Washington, DC) Address: 24440 Stone Springs Blvd, Dulles, VA 20166 Floor: 2 nd floor Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s):
  • Number of Beds 10 Labor Beds and 13 postpartum beds and 2 ORs
  • Number of Staff growing rapidly --- usually staff with 4-5 Labor RNs and 2 Postpartum RNs and OB scrub tech. Also have Lactation consultants. Also have Level 2 NICU with 2 RNs 24/7. 24/7 in house OB Hospitalist and 24/7 in house Neonatology provider.
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift 4-5 labor RNs/shift; 2 postpartum RNs/shift; scheduler/birth registrar M-F
    • Night Shift same
  • Patient Ratios varied, depending stages of labor
  • Type of equipment Labor tubs for midwifery patients; Fetal monitoring system
  • EMR Meditech and CPN
Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
  • Minimum of 2 yrs Labor experience
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
