Description
The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art, Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our team of ten Surgeons, ten Mid-Level Providers and our dynamic clinical team are dedicated to providing compassionate and cutting-edge orthopedic care. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our lively team.
This position involves daytime shift work; no weekends, no holidays, no call!
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
As a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse, you will assess, educate, and prepare patients for surgery, focusing on consent, vital signs, IVs, and pre-op medications. Post-surgery you will care for recovering patients, monitoring anesthesia side effects, airway, ventilation, and circulation.
The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent patient care, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Current American Heart BLS certification and ACLS/PALS.
  • Prior experience caring for patients in an outpatient surgical setting.
