Job Summary
Available Inpatient Phlebotomy Positions:
  • Full-Time (80 Hrs Per Pay): M-F 1:15PM-9:45PM; Every Other Weekend; 3 Holidays Per Yr
  • Part-Time (40 Hrs Per Pay): Weekdays 4AM-8AM OR 5AM-9AM; Every Other Weekend 5AM-9AM; 3 Holidays Per Yr (5AM-1:30PM)
  • Part-Time (32 Hrs Per Pay): Varied Weekdays 2AM-6AM; Every Other Weekend 2AM-6AM; 3 Holidays Per Yr (2AM-8AM)
  • Part-Time (16 Hrs Per Pay): Varied Days 1:15PM-9:45PM; Every Other Weekend & 3 Holidays Per Yr
  • Part-Time (8 Hrs Per Pay): Every Other Weekend 4AM-8AM OR 5AM-9AM; 3 Holidays Per Yr (5AM-1:30PM)

The Phlebotomist:
  • Performs phlebotomy, point of care testing on multiple platforms and EKG tracings.
  • Correctly identifies patients and handles patient registration.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of both the laboratory and hospital information systems and tools.
  • Provides dispatching or coordinating of collections and performs procedures in a standardized, accurate manner with knowledge of the parameters of acceptability and critical limits.
  • Expected to perform other duties as required or assigned.

Education Requirements
  • Post High School Diploma Program - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Post High School Diploma Program

Experience
  • Phlebotomy training and/or experience required

Certification and Licensure
  • BLS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire date
  • FIT Testing must be obtained within 60 days of hire date
  • PA Drivers License (May vary based on department needs)
