Pay Band:
Job Summary:
Assisting the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III men's and women's swimming and diving program.
Scope:
The Intercollegiate Athletic Program provides competition in 23 sports (12 for men and 11 for women) and is a member of NCAA Division III and the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Principal Responsibilities
Assistant Swimming and Diving coaching duties will be as assigned by Head Coach and will include program administration, on deck coaching, and recruiting for the ONU Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving program. Other duties as assigned by Head Coach or Athletic Director.
Required Skills:
- Collegiate and/or club coaching or competitive swimming experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel
- Current certification as a Lifeguard, CPR-RP, and First Aid or the ability to obtain
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Current certification in Lifeguard, CPR-PR, and First Aid or the ability to obtain
- Previous swim coaching experience at the high school, club or collegiate levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coaching experience in Swimming and Diving required
- Experience with recruiting student athletes
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules
- Strength & conditioning experience
