Job description

IntegrityRX is looking for a part time every other weekend Pharmacist to work at our retail pharmacy in Brick Township. The person in this position is part of the team concept in the Center's health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of primary care with emphases on prevention and health maintenance.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist patients with their health care needs by filling prescriptions and providing excellent customer service. The candidate is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.

The candidate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.

  • Supervise the work completed by Pharmacy Technicians and/or other support staff while on duty.

  • Assist Pharmacy Manager to train, coach, and manage pharmacy staff.

  • Assume management responsibility over the entire pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

  • Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department.

  • Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations.

  • Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints, and questions to build customer trust and loyalty.

  • Interact with physicians and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

 

Essential Functions/ Requirements

  • Proficiency in Rx30 is strongly preferred but not required.

  • Committed to providing customer service that patients feel welcome, important, and appreciated.

  • Ability to work within strict time frames and deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Perform different tasks on different days, as necessary.

  • Respond to interruptions and then return seamlessly to task at hand.

  • Handle stressful situations while maintaining a sense of calm.

  • Proficient in clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, which includes weekends, and holidays.

  • Effective multitask.

  • Execute day-to-day operations in the pharmacy. Ensure that the pharmacy is following all local, state, and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.

  • Ensure that the pharmacy is following all third-party payer contract rules and regulations by which the pharmacy is bound.

  • Supervise the pharmacy staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area.

  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

  • Complies with company policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
