Job Description
Summary/objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Warehouse Picker 3 is responsible for manually stacking cases coming from the Vertique System palletizer. While auditing the pallets vs the container label, the Warehouse Picker 3 must maintain a continuous flow through the assigned hand stack station with little to no interruption. The Warehouse Picker 3 must be able to perform any Warehouse Picker 1 and Warehouse Picker 2 job functions and be able to successfully ensure the accuracy and completion of their work in a timely manner.
Essential functions

• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to perform any Warehouse Picker 1 and Warehouse Picker 2 job functions as needed.
• Must properly stack cases of finished products on pallets ensuring accuracy.
• Audit the pallets label vs. palletized products ensuring that is the correct pallet size, product type, quantity and conditions. Visual inspect products are in good condition.
• Ensure the stability of the built pallets, square the product on the pallet if needed.
• Ensure all the completed pallets are wrapped. Must hand wrap all the pallets at the top to avoid cases from falling during the transport to the wrapper station.
• Pay attention to detail and be able to differentiate between packages (Full understanding of package dimensions, descriptions, SKU numbers).
• Keep a continuous flow of completed pallets to their assigned discharge lanes (Bulk or HPR) with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely and safe manner.
• Troubleshoot any palletizer and wrapper station issues while following all safety guidelines.
• Must properly handle packaged product, preventing any damage to the product.
• Communicate with Lead/Supervisor Receiving about any equipment/products abnormal/damage conditions in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with Lead, Supervisors, and peers to ensure alignment on daily goals and objectives.
• Operates machines (hand stack, palletizer, wrapper station) while observing standard safety procedures and maintains proper function of machines through intermediate problem-solving skills.
• Collect and move damages to the designated recycling areas.
• Recycle operations - Sort and dispose of damaged items in the respective recycle bins, segregating packing materials accordingly.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment and work area. Mop as needed, any product spill to keep the floors clean and dry.
• Identify needs and assist other areas when appropriate.
• Learn, practice, and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Use proper lifting techniques to avoid injuries and follow the BRC safety practices.
• Make sound decisions and multitask simultaneously without constant supervision.
• Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
• Other assigned duties as needed.
