Acute Care RN - Registered Nurse

Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Acute Care Registered Nurse, providing both direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires initiative, flexibility, and professional responsibility with minimal supervision. You will triage patients efficiently and accurately, prioritizing care based on physical and psychosocial needs while managing patient flow effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care, evaluate outcomes, and collaborate with specialists to optimize nursing processes.
  • Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and reassessments across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control techniques.
  • Maintain a safe care environment that minimizes medical errors and promotes quality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, identify dysrhythmias, and provide appropriate treatment.
  • Accurately assign triage categories and maintain detailed nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses.
  • Float to emergency, obstetrics, and other departments as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license valid in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
  • Preferred: Minimum two years of hospital nursing experience.
Professional Requirements:
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and organizational ethics.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in scheduling.
  • Communicate courteously and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues.
