$20,000 sign on bonus eligibility

Schedule:  3 12-hour shifts

Our Pediatrics Department is a close-knit 6-bed unit with a favorable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Our patients primarily include infants with hyperbilirubinemia, post‑op tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cases, and low‑acuity respiratory conditions. During periods of low census, Pediatric RNs may also care for post‑op GYN and mother/baby patients-offering variety and expanded experience.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors

  • Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs,

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting the patient's rights.

What we're looking for 

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license and possess an associate's degree in nursing. 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required, or within six (6) months of hire  
  • Experience in acute care hospital, preferred

Hourly Range: $33.19 - $44.81
