Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS/APS/NPS) - Acute Care Cardiology, 0.6 FTE
We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Acute Care cardiology team (Cardiac Specialty Care Unit and R6 Cardiac). This role requires a Master's degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years of RN experience. You will provide clinical expertise, leadership, and education to enhance nursing practice standards.
Adheres to the clinical nurse specialist core competencies as defined by the National Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Competency Task Force and recognized by the American Nurses Association (ANA). The CNS practices through 3 spheres of influence, including the patient, unit/department, and the organization. Provides leadership, clinical expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote the standards of nursing practice. Works collaboratively with leadership to develop criteria for patient care, assess health needs of patients/populations, and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal nursing practice outcomes. Facilitates problem solving and decision making to influence the development, implementation and evaluation of patient, as well as unit/department goals.
Required Education and Experience
Master's or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum of three (3) years RN experience.
Required Credentials
Current Washington State or Multistate (MSL) RN license.
Current Washington state Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP-CS) license.
Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and must be maintained at all times.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. This is a condition of hire and must be maintained at all times. Pediatric Emergency, Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. (Note: Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position). ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.
PALS Certification at time of hire or within 3 months of hire and must be maintained at all times thereafter. ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute for PALS.
PEARS (or PALS - if required by role) Instructor Certification at time of hire or within 12 months of hire and must be maintained at all times thereafter.
Preferred
Previous CNS experience.
Compensation Range
$129,992.00 - $214,487.00 per year
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
