Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN for a night shift ground transport role requiring WA or compact RN license and ground transport experience.

Details
  • Support ground transportation of infant and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU units to a higher level of care facility
  • Work alongside a transport team including respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • May float to cover as a bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or Peds units
  • Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
  • Active WA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Ground transportation experience required
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care
  • Skilled in administration of emergency medications including vasopressors, anti-seizure medications, and continuous sedation
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and arterial/central line management
  • Experience with pediatric dosage calculations
  • Experience with cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience in NICU and PICU settings with transport experience
Additional Information
  • Transport infants and pediatric patients requiring critical care between facilities via ground transport
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy and advanced practice provider team members during transport
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
  • Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
