Chemours is seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing team.

This position will be available at the DeLisle Plant location in Pass Christian, MS.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective performance aligned with site and business objectives.
  • Lead and develop Production Leaders, supervisors, and other operations personnel, building leadership capability, accountability, employee engagement, and a strong safety culture.
  • Establish and drive performance against key operating metrics including safety, process safety, production, OEE/downtime, reliability, yield, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Ensure strong operational discipline and compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), EHS requirements, operating procedures, and regulatory standards within high-hazard manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and execute short- and mid-term operating plans while providing input to longer-term site strategy, asset utilization, resource requirements, and manufacturing priorities.
  • Manage fixed and variable operating costs, monitor financial performance, and develop actions to achieve annual cost and productivity commitments.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, and Capital Project teams to prioritize asset needs, improve equipment reliability, maintain safe operations, and support successful project execution within assigned operating areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles including daily management, visual management, standard work, Kaizen, and structured problem solving to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ensure effective quality management practices, including investigation and resolution of non-conformances and sustained performance against product and process requirements.
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership, Supply Chain, functional partners, and other site stakeholders to optimize plant performance, build organizational capability, and support the long‑term competitiveness of the site.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant engineering disciplines will also be considered based on applicable operations experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing or industrial operations experience, including leadership within a PSM‑covered, high‑hazard chemical, petrochemical, refining, or comparable process manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated manager‑of‑managers leadership experience with responsibility for developing leaders and delivering safety, process safety, production, quality, reliability, and organizational performance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant operating or fixed‑cost budgets and driving results through KPIs, operational discipline, cost management, and performance improvement.
  • Willingness to relocate in the future for continued leadership and career development opportunities within Chemours.
Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrated Lean manufacturing experience, including daily management systems, visual management, standard work, Kaizen, and structured problem solving.
  • Lean certification and/or experience supporting or leading a Lean transformation.
  • Experience using SAP or another ERP system to manage operational performance, costs, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience partnering with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, and Capital teams to prioritize investments and improve performance in aging, corrosive, abrasive, or otherwise challenging process‑manufacturing assets.
