Job description

Endoscopy RN Opportunity

First timers are welcome. This position will float between units as per unit needs. On-call is required from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM, two days per month. Weekends are not required. Block schedules are not required. The expected nurse to patient ratio is one nurse to one patient. This is an intra-procedural area only. Pre-op and recovery in Endoscopy are not done here. It is an advanced procedural area. Screening colonoscopies or EGD are not performed. Generally, patients are ASA 3 or higher. Forty-eight hours are not approved. Must have a vehicle for this assignment. It's common for travelers to float to other units based on their skill sets. AYA healthcare professionals may be required to float to other units and facilities to meet the needs of PH&S. Facilities include Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent. For Seaside floating only, if a traveler is booked to a non-Seaside facility and asked to float to Seaside, they will receive a $5/hr incentive for hours worked at Seaside in addition to IRS mileage reimbursement. If floating consecutive shifts, they will be additionally offered a hotel. Facility agrees to give as much notice as possible when floating to Seaside.
