  • Perm Staff Rule: Previous permanent staff of Swedish are not permitted to work as travelers.

On-Call & Weekend Requirements
  • On-Call Shifts: 12-hour call shifts, divided evenly among approximately 15 RNs.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR experience required. (1st-time travelers are accepted).
  • Licensure: Active Washington (WA) or Compact State RN License (All Swedish facilities honor active compact licenses).
  • Certifications: * AHA BLS (Required)
    • ACLS (Preferred)
Clinical Skills & Case Mix
  • Patient Population: 30% Inpatient, 70% Outpatient, 10% Pediatrics.
  • Case Types: Ortho (General and Sports Med), General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Spine.
    • Additional exposure: Circulate-ENT, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, OB-GYN, Plastics, Robotics, Scrub-Trauma, Vascular.
  • Strictly Required Skills: * Ortho - Sports Med
    • Robotics
    • Procedure Sedation
    • Blood/Blood Products Administration
    • Drains & Epidural Pumps
    • PICC/Central Lines & Port-A-Cath/Vascular Device Access/Care
    • Wound Vac
  • Highly Preferred Skills: * Scrub experience
    • ENT with endoscope experience
