Job description

Position Overview
  • Bonus: Up to $20,000.00 (For Full-Time, 7 On/7 Off, and Weekend Only positions)
  • Department: Cardiac Stepdown - 5 WEST
  • Schedule: Multiple shifts available
    • Full-Time Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
    • Full-Time Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
    • Full-Time Weekend Days, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
    • Full-Time Weekend Nights, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham

What You Will Do
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
    team.

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required

Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
