Job description

Receptionist - Mid/Second Shift - part time 

Wage: $17/hr + $1/hr second shift incentive 

Shift:  Varying start times between 1:00 - 5:00  pm  and end times up to 12:00 am and rotating weekend coverage.

  Work with Facility Control Clerk and Dispatcher to provide and maintain security and safety throughout the facility by monitoring CCTV and Simplex alarm systems, utilizing 2-way radios for departmental communication and following established procedures for medical and other emergencies.

  • Greet, direct, and assist visitors, vendors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer Lands’ End switchboard and desk phone, taking messages or redirecting calls as requested by caller. Respond to routine questions. Refer more complex questions to appropriate personnel within the company.
    Communicate severe weather information to employees and departments, per guidelines set in the spring/summer and fall/winter plans.
  • Document in a professional manner all incidents and activities that occur, including: project work, emergency situations, security and safety related incidents.
    Provide project and diverse clerical support for Facility Services, including, but not limited to; scheduling appointments and conference rooms, copying typing, vending machine reimbursements, attendance records, invoices, ordering supplies, birthday and welcome board postings, payroll, and department newsletter.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff from other departments to provide clerical and project support with a wide variety of activities such as scheduling conference rooms and appointments, merging duplicate addresses, typing and other clerical tasks.
  • Maintain and upkeep reception areas and dress according to department policy.
     

Required Skills:

  • High School education or equivalent with one to two years of clerical experience
  • Highly reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Ability to work on a rotating schedule.
  • Ability to respond to critical incidents and confidentiality on sensitive subject matter.
