Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Main point of contact for guests and clients to purchase and pick up Grand Theatre event tickets.
Responsible for check-out procedures as they pertain to the Box Office.
Inform guests about upcoming Grand Theatre events and explain services and prices.
Provide exceptional guest service, problem solving skills and ticketing system knowledge including Ticketmaster and web-based box office services.
Make, return and follow up on calls to maintain proper communication with clients, guests, team members and corporate management.
Process and sell Grand Theatre tickets for events in person and on the phone for the Box Office.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Work with interruptions and perform multiple tasks while remaining collected in high pressure situations.
Handle guests and team members in a tactful and respectful manner.
Ability of complex reading and simple writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, instructing, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year experience in box office operation is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting, frequently standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, and occasionally crouching and kneeling during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 10lbs or less occasionally.
The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet. Team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and frequent light grasping motions. Team member will have occasional use of firm/strong grasping motion. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
