Sumter Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Shift Supervisor to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. This leadership position is ideal for an RN who enjoys mentoring staff, overseeing clinical operations, and ensuring exceptional resident care during weekend shifts.
As the Weekend RN Shift Supervisor, you'll serve as the clinical leader for the facility, providing guidance to nursing staff while maintaining high standards of quality care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety.
Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Shift Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision of nursing staff during weekend shifts.
  • Coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality resident care.
  • Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
  • Ensure physician orders are implemented accurately and communicated to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Oversee medication administration, treatments, and nursing documentation.
  • Support quality assurance, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct regular resident rounds to evaluate care, identify concerns, and promote positive resident outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and support Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergency clinical situations as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
