Lead the Weekend Nursing Team
Sumter Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Shift Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and support to our weekend nursing team.
As the RN Weekend Shift Supervisor, you'll oversee nursing operations during your assigned shifts, support nurses and CNAs, and help ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for weekend nursing operations.
  • Supervise, support, and provide direction to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
  • Conduct rounds and monitor resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist nursing staff with clinical concerns and resident care needs.
  • Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members as needed.
  • Support accurate documentation, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up.
Qualifications
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing - REQUIRED.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous nursing experience required.
  • House Supervisor, Nursing Supervisor, Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or other nursing leadership experience preferred.
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Dependable and able to effectively lead a nursing team.
