Salary range- 26.25-37.32 USD

Description

Northern Light Mercy Hospital

Department: Operating Room

Position is located: Mercy Fore River

Work Type: Full Time

Hours Per Week: 40.00

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Exempt: No

Summary: Assists in operations, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains sterile operative fields.
  • Maintains inventory of medical supplies or equipment.
  • Assists healthcare practitioners during surgery.
  • Positions patients for treatment or examination.
  • Protects patients or staff members using safety equipment.
  • Orients new staff to unit and specific specialty.
  • Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
  • May perform other duties upon request.

Other Information:

  • Certification as Surgical Technologist Required.
