This is an onsite position, primarily in the comfort of our clients' homes in Chantilly and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Physical Therapist at Valera, you will:

  • Direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop and restore muscle function, and maintain maximum performance according to individualized care plans.
  • Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' mobility levels, utilizing diagnostic tests to determine functional capabilities.
  • Examine and recommend modifications to the home environment to enhance rehabilitation efforts and facilitate patient independence.
  • Administer manual and therapeutic exercises, assisting patients in non-manual exercises and functional activities tailored to their needs.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust orthotic devices while recommending necessary modifications to the supervising physician.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to optimize patient care plans.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical records, including initial evaluations, ongoing progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
  • Engage with patients and their families, providing education on therapy devices and comprehensive care programs.
  • Conduct on-site functional assessments and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs and responses to therapy.
  • Be readily accessible to support and supervise physical therapy assistants during treatment procedures in alignment with state regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve range from individuals recovering from surgery or injury to those requiring ongoing rehabilitation due to chronic conditions or age-related issues. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
