**ARDMS registered technologist with proficiency in principles, practices and techniques of ultrasound procedures. **

Hours:

  • Part-Time (.8) FTE; 32 hours per week
  • Rotational Weekend - Night Shift
  • Includes: (2) Evening Shift weekdays
  • Area: General Ultrasound
  • Will train on Days M-F

About the job

In this role the Ultrasound Technologist, under the general supervision of an attending radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, the ultra-sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care. Will supports General Ultrasound- Level Trauma 1; working independently

What you'll do

  • Performs and demonstrates competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
  • Recognizing, identifying and appropriately documenting normal anatomy, abnormalities, disease, pathology and pathophysiology for accurate medical diagnosis.
  • Performing all types of ultrasound procedures and services, in accordance with department protocol, to ensure appropriate patient care for patients in all age categories (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
  • Completing ultrasonic scans within given procedure time parameters when performing ultrasonic scans so as to expedite patient care.

Here is what you'll need

Required:

  • Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience
  • Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program;
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience
  • New Graduates- 9-month ultrasound coursework experience including clinical rotation
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)-Specialization in Abdomen, Ob/Gyn or PS
  • Other: New Graduate obtain certification within 3 months of hire

  • Registration within 3 months of hire, in a minimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology required.

Pay Range: $39.00 - 59.00per hour
