What is a weekend commission?

A Weekend Commission job typically refers to a position where employees work on weekends and earn pay based on commission, meaning their income depends on sales, performance, or completed tasks. These jobs are common in retail, sales, or freelancing industries, where weekend work attracts more customers or clients. The role may offer flexibility but often requires strong self-motivation and sales skills. Payment structures can vary, including base salaries plus commission or purely commission-based earnings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the weekend commission position?

To excel in a Weekend Commission role, you need strong sales abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, CRM software, and basic reporting tools is frequently required. Outstanding communication, motivation, and adaptability are vital for engaging customers and maximizing sales during limited weekend hours. These skills are critical to achieving commission-based earnings and driving weekend sales performance in a fast-paced retail or sales environment.

What does a typical weekend shift look like for a weekend commission employee?

A typical weekend shift for a Weekend Commission employee is focused on customer interaction and maximizing sales opportunities, often during the busiest periods in retail or sales environments. You can expect to engage with a steady flow of customers, showcase products or services, and close sales to earn commissions based on your performance. Team members usually collaborate closely, sharing leads or supporting each other during peak hours to meet group and individual targets. This high-energy environment offers the chance to build valuable sales experience and can often lead to advancement into full-time roles or higher-earning commission structures. Being proactive and personable are key to making the most of these shifts.

Job description

Event Appointment Setter — Weekend Events

$500–$1,500+ Commission Per Event | Commission Only | Paid Weekly
1099 Independent Contractor | Part-Time | Weekend Availability Required

Turn conversations into appointments — and get paid for every step.

We’re looking for confident, outgoing people who enjoy talking to strangers and creating opportunities.

You’ll work weekend events across the Triangle and Triad, representing a well-known home improvement brand at home shows, fairs, and festivals. Your job is simple: start conversations with homeowners, identify people interested in new windows or doors, and schedule a free in-home consultation.

You are not selling windows. You are not going door-to-door. You are not going into customers’ homes.

You set the appointment, and our team of in-home experts handles the consultation and sale.

What You’ll Do

  • Work a branded booth at weekend events across Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and High Point, with additional travel in the Carolinas
  • Approach homeowners attending the event and start conversations with people who may be considering home improvements
  • Identify qualified homeowners interested in new windows or doors
  • Schedule free in-home consultations on the spot
  • Help with booth setup and breakdown
  • Accurately log every appointment you set the same day

What We’re Looking For

This role is all about confidence, energy, and being comfortable approaching people you don’t know.

You should be:

  • Comfortable starting conversations with strangers and hearing “no”
  • Available to work Friday through Sunday events on an ongoing basis
  • Reliable, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
  • Sales, retail, promotional, restaurant, or events background helps. Window and door experience is a plus but not required. We train you.
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 18 years of age or older

Schedule — Please Read Carefully

Weekend availability is required.

Events run Friday through Sunday and we need people who can commit to weekends on an ongoing basis. Most events are 2 to 3 days. You will typically work 2 to 4 events per month, with more available as the schedule grows. If your weekends are not open, this is not the right role for you and we would rather know now.

How You Get Paid

This is a commission-only opportunity with no hourly wage and no base pay.

Your earning potential is uncapped, and you can earn from the same customer multiple times:

  • When you book the appointment
  • Again when the appointment happens
  • Again when the customer buys

You are paid weekly, not monthly.

Most representatives earn $500–$1,500 per event, and strong performers can earn significantly more because there is no cap and no limit on the number of appointments you can set.

Bonus Opportunity

Book 6 or more appointments at a single event and you’ll also receive a same-day cash bonus.

We’ll walk you through the exact compensation structure and earning potential during the first call.

Why This Role?

If you’re outgoing, competitive, and motivated by performance-based earnings, this is an opportunity to get paid for creating results without having to close the sale yourself.

You make the connection.
You set the appointment.
Our in-home team takes it from there.
You get paid.

Training Starts the Week of September 8

Weekend availability is required. Apply now to be considered for the next training group.
