Position-Specific Overview

The Microsoft Power Platform Developer will design, develop, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and user-centered business applications and automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse). The candidate will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze business needs, translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, and deliver applications that improve business processes and organizational outcomes. The candidate is responsible for developing and integrating Power Platform solutions, managing the application lifecycle, and applying software development best practices to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and advance organizational modernization objectives.

Responsibilities

Requirements Generation and Application Development

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex Power Application tools that meet business requirements while adhering to established architecture, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop responsive, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces using Power Fx and platform capabilities.
  • Perform unit testing, defect resolution, application optimization, and technical documentation.

Data Architecture, Integration, and Business Process Automation

  • Design secure, scalable data models, relationships, business rules, forms, and security roles
  • Develop automated business processes using Power Automate.
  • Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, custom connectors, Azure services, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and third-party systems.
  • Optimize application performance, data architecture, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational data governance and security requirements.

Solution Deployment and Application Lifecycle Management

  • Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using managed solutions, source control, automated deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Participate in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, managing feature requests, and code reviews.
  • Support environment management, solution deployments, production releases, and operational maintenance.
  • Verbally explain/defend in-process and completed work to colleagues and clients in informal and formal settings
  • Contribute to reusable development standards, coding guidelines, and technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, data analytics, or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying, and supporting Microsoft Power Apps that enable mission-critical business processes and serve a large, active user base
  • Experience developing complex solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse, and Power Fx
  • Experience designing relational data models and integrating Power Platform solutions with external systems or applications using REST APIs, custom connectors, Azure services, or similar technologies
  • Experience applying software development best practices, including version control, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and CI/CD
  • Experience implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, role-based security, governance, and Power Platform environment management best practices
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing enterprise Microsoft Power Apps solutions, including leading small development teams
  • Experience delivering solutions in a client services or consulting environment.
  • Experience supporting or partnering with U.S. federal government agencies
  • Active Secret Clearance

Salary range: $85,000- 150,000 USD
The salary range listed is one part of our total compensation package, which may also include bonuses, incentives and benefits. Individual compensation is determined based on qualifications such as relevant years of experience, education, certifications and geographic location.
