Job description

At North Rock, we’re driven by a shared commitment to innovation, impact, and service. We help our clients navigate change with confidence—aligning people, processes, and technology to support critical missions across the federal landscape. If you're looking to grow your career alongside a collaborative, values‑led team making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

The Power Platform Developer designs, develops, and deploys low‑code/no‑code solutions within federal agencies using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. This role includes building secure applications and workflows, developing analytics dashboards, and migrating legacy processes into modern, compliant Power Platform environments. The developer ensures all solutions meet federal cybersecurity, FedRAMP, Section 508, and records management requirements, while supporting integration with enterprise systems such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Teams, and Azure services. The position requires experience with Agile/DevSecOps delivery, stakeholder engagement, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Candidates should hold 2+ years of Microsoft Power Platform development experience, knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800‑53, Section 508), and familiarity with data governance and role‑based access controls. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft PL‑series certifications and prior experience supporting federal modernization or digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy low‑code/no‑code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and AI Builder).
  • Build custom business applications, model‑driven and canvas apps, and integrate them with enterprise systems (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Teams, Azure, and third‑party APIs).
  • Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI to support federal mission analytics, operational efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with federal stakeholders, business analysts, and program teams to gather requirements, map business processes, design secure workflows, and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Implement role‑based access controls, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and federal‑compliant governance frameworks for Power Platform solutions.
  • Support integration of Power Platform applications into federal ERP, CRM, and case‑management systems.
  • Contribute to IT modernization and digital transformation efforts by mapping and migrating legacy workflows and apps into the Power Platform environment seamlessly.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility, federal cybersecurity, and records management requirements.
  • Develop materials to support testing, deployment, and sustainment activities, including user training, OCM, and documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • U.S. Citizenship (required due to federal security requirements).
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in IT development, with at least 2+ years of hands‑on Power Platform development.
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying solutions with Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Azure AD) and integration with Power Platform.
  • Understanding of federal IT compliance requirements, including FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508, and NIST SP 800‑53.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methods, DevSecOps pipelines, and iterative delivery within federal contracts.
  • Experience collaborating with business users, analysts, and program managers to translate mission requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400, or PL‑600).
  • Experience supporting federal agencies with low‑code/no‑code modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and its integration with Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of data governance and AI/ML capabilities within Power Platform.
  • Active Public Trust, Secret, or higher clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
