TECHNICAL SME - MICROSOFT POWER PLATFORM / CRM MODERNIZATION


Pay Range: $117.30-$121.90 per hour

Location: Remote - United States, with potential travel to Tallahassee, Florida

Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price Government Contract

Contract Period: September 8, 2026 - June 30, 2027

Customer: State of Florida - Executive Office of the Governor (EOG)

Project: Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System Modernization and Enhancements


Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Security Clearance: No Secret or Top Secret clearance requirement identified in the solicitation


Position Summary

SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Mic

rosoft Power Platform expertise to support a State of Florida CRM modernization initiative.

The Technical SME will provide senior technical leadership for the conversion, modernization, security enhancement, integration, testing, and implementation of legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM capabilities within the Microsoft Power Platform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical leadership for the CRM modernization initiative.
  • Assess existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM architecture, configurations, workflows, data, and dependencies.
  • Develop and guide the target-state technical architecture.
  • Support conversion of legacy CRM capabilities to Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Design and guide Microsoft Dataverse implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership for Power Apps.
  • Design and modernize workflows using Power Automate.
  • Support migration, transformation, reconciliation, and validation of legacy CRM data.
  • Maintain continuity between CRM records and associated SharePoint content.
  • Modernize legacy business rules and workflow logic.
  • Support application lifecycle management and controlled deployment.
  • Design and implement secure identity and access controls.
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, least privilege, and privileged-access controls.
  • Support role-based and granular data-access requirements.
  • Protect sensitive investigative and whistle-blower information.
  • Design secure website-to-CRM integrations.
  • Design secure email-to-CRM integrations.
  • Support API authentication, validation, encryption, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Lead technical activities associated with functional, integration, migration, security, and UAT testing.
  • Support production cutover and rollback planning.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and implementation issues.
  • Produce and review technical architecture and implementation documentation.
  • Conduct technical knowledge transfer with customer personnel.


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated enterprise application modernization experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or Dynamics 365 experience.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Power Platform experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience with Power Apps.
  • Experience with Power Automate.
  • Experience modernizing enterprise workflows and business processes.
  • Experience with enterprise data migration, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Experience designing secure APIs and system integrations.
  • Understanding of enterprise identity and access management.
  • Knowledge of MFA, RBAC, least privilege, and Zero-Trust security principles.
  • Experience with application testing, UAT, deployment, and production stabilization.
  • Strong technical architecture and documentation capabilities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to perform assigned project work from within the United States.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience migrating legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM environments to Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access experience.
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM) experience.
  • Dataverse security and field/column-level security experience.
  • SharePoint integration experience.
  • Experience with investigative, case-management, audit, or similarly sensitive applications.
  • State, local, or federal government technology-modernization experience.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications.
  • Microsoft Azure or Microsoft security certifications.


Contract Environment

This position supports a firm-fixed-price State of Florida technology modernization contract for the Executive Office of the Governor.


The project involves modernization of a legacy CRM environment supporting auditing, investigations, whistle-blower intake, correspondence management, executive-request workflows, and enterprise reporting.


The technical environment is expected to include Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, privileged-access controls, SharePoint, secure APIs, website and email integrations, data migration, security testing, UAT, documentation, and implementation support.


Selected personnel must comply with applicable customer security and confidentiality requirements, complete required security-awareness training before accessing customer systems, and execute required nondisclosure agreements.
