Physician Opportunity at Bon Secours Southside Internal Medicine!

Bon Secours Southside Internal Medicine in Petersburg is Adding one MD due to GROWTH of the practice!

  • 2 MD's - 2 APC currently
  • Full time position - M-F 8a-5p preferred
  • 100% outpatient - no hospital responsibility
  • 40% adult, 60% geriatric
  • Call is 1 weekend every 9 weeks, and an average of 4 days per month.
  • Average patients per day - 17-20 - after ramp up period
  • All adult/geriatric patient panel
  • EPIC EMR - telehealth/evisits through MyChart
  • 1:1 dedicated support by CMA or LPN
  • Diabetes Educator in Practice
  • See patients for scheduled appointments (sick visits, routine follow-ups, hospital follow-ups, pre-op medical clearance), refill medications, follow-up with patients on labs/imaging studies with assistance of LPN/CMA, document encounter and billing in EMR and close encounter same day. Sign home health orders and other patient correspondence as needed.
  • Occasionally precepting med students from Liberty University
  • Well-established practice, opportunity to be very busy

    due to sick/PTO, help cover messages and refills.
  • Provider will be expected to close charts same day.

Southside Internal Medicine is a busy, established primary care practice in Petersburg, VA. Our 3 MD's and 1 NP provide care to patients age 18 and older. We're located just south of Richmond in the Tri-Cities area which incldes Petersburg, Colonial Heights and Hopewell. Our practice is just minutes from I-95 and I-295.
