Hospital Attendant / Evening Cleaning Assistant

Position Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

We are a busy, compassionate animal hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and clients. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Hospital Attendant to assist with end-of-day cleaning and facility maintenance.

Position Summary
The Hospital Attendant plays an important role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our patients, clients, and veterinary team. This position focuses primarily on evening cleaning duties and ensuring the hospital is prepared for the next business day.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, and common spaces
  • Sweep and mop floors throughout the hospital
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Wipe down counters, doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces
  • Restock supplies as needed
  • Launder hospital linens and towels
  • Follow hospital safety and infection-control protocols
  • Perform other weekly and monthly housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in an animal hospital environment around dogs and cats
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks
