Southern Imaging Services is a team of friendly, ambitious professionals coming to work to provide exceptional care to our patients while having a great time working together. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our highly motivated and results-driven team at our Rock Hill office. Candidates must be able to work the assigned hours and have reliable transportation.  

 
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly establish credibility, confidence, and trust with our patients, particularly over the phone. They should be computer and tech-savvy, a quick learner, and willing to undergo training. Additionally, the candidate must be empathetic, enthusiastic, a self-starter, and a strong team player, all while maintaining a positive attitude towards their work and a firm commitment to excellence in patient care and administrative support.


The Medical Receptionist initiates the patient's experience. This is the first person our new patients will speak to on the phone and meet in the office; our meet & greet; our check-in & check-out person. Daily patient flow through the office starts and ends with scheduling appointments and responding to non-clinical questions/requests from patients and staff. In addition, this position supports our Apex team - a sister company- as well as some marketing and advertising activities.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required. Healthcare experience or Technical School Diploma is highly preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical office patient services/front desk reception.
  • Hands-on experience with patient scheduling, NP paperwork, scanning  & uploading documentation.
  • Excellent computer skills, both EMR and Microsoft Office required.  Keyboard skills 25wpm required.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely, written & verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must relate well with patients, peers, physicians, and management. Must be genuinely concerned for people, respectful, and able to use diplomacy and tact in tense situations.
  • Ability to work in a high-standard, stressful environment.
  • Mon-Fri, 8-hour workday; shift times will vary between the hours of 7 am-7 pm depending on the week and patient volume

This is an onsite, FT position, Monday through Friday, including some weekends and holiday rotation.
