Join the power movement as Manager, Manufacturing Engineering
The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering for Weekend Operations provides technical and functional leadership for fourth and fifth shift manufacturing engineering activities. This role acts as the primary escalation point and communication pathway between weekend engineering and senior management, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and production objectives. The lead combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional coordination across Design, Quality, and Planning to facilitate rapid issue resolution and operational discipline in a high-complexity environment.
The Schedule:
Shift: Monday - Friday, third shift
What you'll do:
  • Lead and coordinate the weekend Manufacturing Engineering organization, establishing priorities and aligning resources to meet production goals
  • Serve as the central technical escalation point for weekend operations, representing risks and requirements to senior leadership while cascading strategic direction to the team
  • Act as the primary engineering interface for cross-functional technical decision-making, facilitating troubleshooting and resolution of complex process issues
  • Drive manufacturing execution by partnering with Production and Quality to implement process standards, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote a culture of safety, technical rigor, and operational excellence through Lean methodologies and data-driven problem solving

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Significant experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, or production operations leadership
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating engineering activities in a production environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical decision-making, and operational leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in high-complexity, fast-paced manufacturing environments with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational leadership capabilities
  • Experience supporting off-shift or extended-hour manufacturing operations preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence experience preferred

Bonus points for:
  • Experience supporting off-shift or extended-hour manufacturing operations
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence certification/experience
  • Strong technical judgment with the ability to make timely decisions under pressure and lead through influence

Must-have requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Perform activities such as typing, standing, stooping, and sitting, for extended periods of time
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
  • Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call

$110,000 - $185,000 a year
