Job description

Job Summary: Primary responsibilities for the Manufacturing Supervisor are to coordinate and direct the daily activities in manufacturing and resolve quality issues to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Other duties include coordination with other departments to satisfy customer needs for product and resolution of defective product issues.
Essential Job Functions
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.
  • Supervise and coordinate work activities of personnel in card manufacturing along with personnel in other departments with no on duty Supervisor.
  • Manage the daily production schedules in all of card manufacturing.
  • Communicate maintenance issues to Production Manager and Maintenance Department to ensure timely repair of machinery.
  • Review and answer issues concerning quality or functionality of product.
  • Track and review waste from production process to ensure efficient material use. Complete detailed production reports consisting of a daily shift summary and data entry of completed production.
  • Complete basic human resource duties such as time keeping (payroll), vacation approvals and employee evaluations
  • Assure all safety standards and procedures are followed.
  • Perform these and other duties as assigned by Production Manager or other appropriate management personnel.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:
  • Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Associates Degree is preferred.
