Description:

SUMMARY OF JOB: The Assistant Manager provides the administrative support to the Sales Associates in the absence of the Manager by providing products to all customers and maintaining a conducive work environment. To accomplish these tasks, the Assistant Manager works closely with the Manager, General Manager, Sales Associates, Home Office Personnel and customers.


DAILY DUTIES:


  1. Maintain a clean parking lot (sweeping, hosing & picking up trash).
  2. Wipe down gas dispensers.
  3. Check in vendors using the current scanning process.
  4. Restock coolers and freezers.
  5. Sweep & Mop floors.
  6. Stock and clean roller grills.
  7. Stock & front products on shelves.
  8. Clean and stock fountain and coffee areas.
  9. Clean restrooms.
  10. Bag ice.
  11. Empty trash containers inside and outside of the store.
  12. Check in gas deliveries.
  13. Pick up outside trash.
  14. Clean sidewalks and parking lots.
  15. Clean donut case.
  16. Adhere to and perform duties as defined in the Restaurant Manager job description if applicable.
  17. Accurately perform money transaction on the register.
  18. Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are to be performed in the absence of or as requested by the Manager.


  1. Ensures that all activities conform to Trexcon policies and procedures.
  2. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members.
  3. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Remains flexible in daily routine.
  4. Support the mission statement and Core Values of Trexcon.
  5. Give fast, friendly customer service.
  6. Finalize daily paperwork.
  7. Interviewing and hiring of potential employees.
  8. Discipline and dismissal of Sales Associates.
  9. Develop work schedules for Sales Associates maintaining total hours at or below the budget hours for that location.
  10. Organize training of new employees.
  11. Read and respond to email, text messages and intra-mail on a daily basis.
  12. Reconcile Sales Associate time punches and payroll reports and submit to the Home Office as per policy.
  13. Order products from approved vendors.
  14. Keep track of daily fuel sales and inventory.
  15. Establish communication with Home Office Personnel to assist with procedural issues.
  16. Establish communications with the Maintenance Department to assist with repairs.
  17. Keep the building and dispensers clean and in working order.
  18. Organize and execute regular store meetings.
  19. Attend management team meetings.
  20. Promote Smart Rewards program
  21. Reflect the Core Values of Trexcon


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:


  1. Requires prolonged standing.
  2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift at least 55 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  3. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders or step stools.
  4. Requires some travel.
