Job description

We are currently seeking Maintenance Assistant for our team to address emergency maintenance needs promptly and effective. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to support in emergencies, adapt to changes, and demonstrate dependability, especially when working alone after completing training. Willingness to learn is essential, along with excellent communication skills for effective troubleshooting and identifying issues. The ability to follow company policy and safety rules, and support several projects across multiple locations is essential. The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth operations and keep our facilities across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintenance tasks across multiple locations as directed.
  • Support to move and set up gymnastic equipment as needed.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of facilities during indicated periods.
  • Fix and repair equipment as needed at every location.
  • Drive the company vehicle to visit different locations for maintenance purposes.
  • Provide support during unexpected maintenance issues.
  • Complete work assignments in a timely manner.

Qualifications
  • Learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques as necessary.
  • Provide support during emergencies and demonstrate flexibility in handling changes.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisor and team members.
  • Retain and apply knowledge gained through training and experience.
  • Be approachable and take directions from supervisor to supports various projects effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing gymnastic equipment, fixing facilities and addressing any safety concerns.
  • Comfortable using power tools.
  • Effective communicator and able to wear multiple hats on a daily basis.
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, depending on time of day, it can be active
  • The ability to climb ladders and walk on uneven surfaces as is deemed necessary to walk out onto the gymnastics floor

Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in maintenance and construction preferred but not required.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 75 lb.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Completion of training assignments as required by all employees in the organization.
  • Must be willing to work assigned hours
  • Valid driving license with clean driving record
  • Background check required
  • Drug test required

Part time and early morning shifts consisting of 20 -25 hours per week, with occasional weekend work for quarterly projects. In addition, after-hours availability may be required.
