Job Description
Machine Operator
Downingtown, PA
Compensation Includes
  • Starting rate at $23.70/hour
  • Pay differential added for 2nd shift and 3rd shift

Available Shifts
  • 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • 3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities
  • Consistently operates zone of forming machines at or above standard levels considering waste, efficiency and utilization
  • Troubleshoot causes of machine malfunctions
  • Make appropriate adjustments or repairs to ensure that the quality of the cartons meeting specifications and that the machines operate properly
  • Conducts quality checks at regular intervals and takes corrective action to fix defects identified
  • Performs minor repairs during production
  • Performs changeovers
  • Performs weekly machine maintenance
  • Communicates with the operator from the previous and following shifts and with supervisors to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department
  • Performs purge procedures when changing to a new product and completes the required checklists
  • Follows LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Some mechanical experience prefrerred
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • The ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English is required
