Job description

The Envelope Machine Operator assists in various aspects of the envelope production process, including preparing materials, operating production equipment, packing finished product, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position reports directly into the Production Manager.

§ Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials for envelope manufacturing, including loading paper, inks, plates, dies, or other supplies into envelope manufacturing machines.

§ Equipment Operation: Operate envelope machine under the guidance of experienced machine adjusters.

§ Quality Control: Monitor the quality of manufactured and printed materials, perform basic inspections, and report any defects or issues to supervisors.

§ Packing: pack finished products into boxes and packages, adhering to customer specifications.

§ Maintenance: Assist in routine equipment maintenance and cleaning to ensure that envelope machines operate smoothly.

§ Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for printing materials and notify the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.

§ Assistance to Operators: Provide support to envelope converting machine operators and other production staff by performing tasks as directed, such as adjusting settings, changing rolls, or troubleshooting minor issues.

§ Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
