Job description

Revolution is now hiring for an Production Operator positions in Kilgore, TX. This position works Monday - Friday, some Saturdays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • To ensure that product that is being produced is good quality following the guidelines set down by the Quality Control Department.
  • To keep their workstations and surrounding areas clean, neat and organized.
  • Be able to troubleshoot and make repairs on any Converting Department production line. This is for production machine problems or minor maintenance repairs.
  • Must have hand tools to do the job following outline from the operator’s tool list.
  • Must follow all housekeeping and good operating procedures as set down by the American Institute of Baking.
  • Must be able to change rolls of material using Converting Department equipment in a timely and safe manner.
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner, keeping their safety and their fellow employee’s safety the #1 priority, and following all company work rules and safety requirements.
  • All paperwork must be done in accordance with company guidelines (including Setup sheets, Quality Control Sheets, and Production sheets.).
  • To work with and help their packers to keep their production lines running (including making boxes, stacking boxes, packing and labeling product where needed).
  • Help clean up and organize the Converting Department at eh end of the shift for the on-coming shift. This includes having all machines loaded up with rolls of material, having all trash cans empty and new bags put in, all empty pallets putting pallet storage area.
  • Work with fellow operators when they need help to keep the shift and department running at the highest possible standard, with the least amount of down–time.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Machinery experience.
  • Good mechanical abilities.
  • Math aptitude
  • Constantly lifts and carries up to 25 lbs. and frequently lifts and carries up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to muti-task
  • Occasionally pushes up to 100 lbs. and moves up to 900 lbs. using a pallet jack.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to the 1/16th.
  • Voluntary overtime (in excess of 40 hours per week) as needed.
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours.
  • Must be able to tolerate light smoke (on occasion) in the department.
