Honing Machine Operator

Burlington, ON

Immediate Openings Available | Full-Time Hours | Training Provided

Our Burlington manufacturing client is currently seeking reliable and mechanically inclined individuals to join their production team as a Honing Machine | Overhead Crane Operator.

No direct honing experience? No problem. Training will be provided by the client. Candidates with manufacturing, overhead crane, machine operating, production, CNC, machining, or mechanically inclined backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

  • Days: $20.00/hr.
  • Afternoons: $20.25/hr.

Shift Available

Days: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Monday to Friday

Candidates should be available for shift work as operational requirements require.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate overhead cranes, honing machines and other production equipment
  • Load and unload materials while maintaining production flow
  • Monitor parts throughout the manufacturing process
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges, and inspection fixtures
  • Identify and report quality concerns or defects
  • Complete production, inspection, and SPC documentation accurately
  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles
  • Move materials and finished products throughout the work cell
  • Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures

What We're Looking For

✔ Overhead Crane, previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience is an asset

✔ CNC, machining, lathe, milling, forklift or mechanical experience is beneficial but not required
✔ Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
✔ Ability to use or learn measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
✔ Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
✔ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
