Job Description

This role involves operating production machinery in a machine shop environment while ensuring parts meet precise sizing and measurement requirements using the metric system. You will contribute to efficient production by performing general labor and assembly tasks as needed, maintaining accuracy, safety, and consistent output quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Ensure all parts and components meet required sizing and measurement specifications using the metric system.
• Monitor machines during operation and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Perform general labor tasks to support production, including material handling and workstation organization.
• Assist with assembly tasks as needed to meet production goals and customer requirements.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, and report any issues or defects promptly.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly work area within the machine shop.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate production and assembly machinery in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Strong understanding of the metric system and ability to use it for accurate measurements.
• Attention to detail to ensure correct sizing and measurements of parts and components.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling materials safely.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a machine shop or similar production environment.
• Familiarity with basic quality checks and visual inspection of finished products.
• Willingness to assist with assembly and other production-related tasks as needed.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.

Work Environment

This position is based in a machine shop environment, working around production and assembly machinery. You can expect a hands-on, shop-floor setting that requires adherence to safety procedures and awareness of equipment in operation. The work involves physical activity, such as standing, moving materials, and working at machines throughout the shift, in a setting focused on precision and productivity.

This is a Contract position based out of Erlanger, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
