Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Louisville, KY.
Pay: up to $28.60/hour
*There is a training rate of $21.80 for the first 30 days, after 30 days the wage increases to $24.84-$28.60 (depending on role)
  • 8-hour scheduled shifts, up to 12 hours shifts with overtime
  • Availability to work rotating shifts which can include overtime & weekends
  • Must be highly motivated, energetic, a team-player with effective interpersonal skills, and have an excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Machine Operator, your duties are to tend machines which spool, carton and pack foil.
You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!
  • Work with aluminum foil, paper cores, glue, carton stock, shipping cases, containers, bins, scrap foil, and scrap tubs.
  • Use tools such as Aluminum foil, paper cores, tape, carton stock, shipping cases, hoist, hand tools such as, but not limited to, knife, wrench, air hoses, and markers, etc.
  • Moves rack of metal from dock or holding area to storage area and from storage area to shafting area as needed.
  • Check metal for proper gauge identification.
  • Return empty racks to storage area.
  • Remove scrap foil from metal core. Weigh the butt roll skids, dump scrap from production lines
  • When tending spooling machines, mount roll of foil onto unwind stand, thread through machine and start machine.
  • Observe general operation of line, quality of product, remove entangled foil, and rethread/ restart machines as necessary.
  • Remove jammed cartons as they occur.
  • Observe for proper operation of case packer and related conveying equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail while operating multiple machines.

Requirements
We need you to have:
  • 2+ years of machine operator experience.
  • Ability to identify health and safety hazards associated with equipment operation.
  • Ability to perform minor clerical tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.

Icing on the cake:
  • Previous experience with spooling machinery.
  • 2+ years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Overhead crane experience.
