Job description

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with core hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. No weekends or holidays. You will work at Junction Road Medical Center and Eastpark Medical Center.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our outpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

UW Health specialists in Rheumatology provide a multidisciplinary team approach to managing rheumatic and immunological diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Outpatient Rheumatology to:

  • Provide new patient visits, follow-up visits, and coordinate care for adult rheumatology patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following: intraarticular or intrabursal injections.
  • Work collaboratively within a team of rheumatology physicians and other advanced practice providers.

Education:

Minimum -

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Work Experience:

Preferred - Two years of APP ambulatory experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family; Gerontology.
  • If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
