It's an exciting time to join the Interventional Radiology team at UNC Health! Our services are expanding to include a more inclusive offering of Pediatric Interventional Radiology (VIR) at both UNC Medical Center and UNC Hillsborough campuses.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our growing team as a Nursing Coordinator. In this role, you will work alongside three dedicated coordinators to manage and schedule Pediatric VIR procedures across both campuses.

The Nursing Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by receiving, verifying, and transcribing provider orders; obtaining prior approvals when needed; and coordinating procedure scheduling for pediatric patients requiring VIR services.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with providers, the VIR clinical team, patients, and families to deliver high-quality, compassionate care throughout every step of the process.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A minimum of five years of hospital nursing experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Previous VIR experience preferred

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Flexible scheduling options are available. Following six months of training and orientation, the role will transition to a fully remote position.
