We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to support litigation attorneys in a fast-paced services environment in California. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong organizational skills, excellent written communication, and a sharp eye for detail to legal administrative work. The position involves managing critical deadlines, preparing court-related documents, and helping attorneys stay organized and responsive throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track important court dates and filing deadlines.
• Prepare, format, and submit legal documents through electronic court filing systems in accordance with court rules.
• Review correspondence, pleadings, and other legal materials for accuracy, grammar, and formatting before distribution or filing.
• Transcribe dictated notes, legal content, and attorney instructions into clear and accurate documents.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure records, pleadings, and supporting materials are updated and easy to retrieve.
• Communicate with courts, clients, and internal team members regarding scheduling, filings, and document requirements.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to litigation attorneys to help move matters forward efficiently.• At least 5 years of experience in a Legal Secretary role, preferably supporting litigation matters.
• Demonstrated experience with electronic filing procedures and court submission requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of court filings, legal document preparation, and deadline management.
• Proven ability to manage complex calendars and coordinate multiple priorities with accuracy.
• Excellent proofreading skills with close attention to spelling, grammar, formatting, and detail.
• Experience with dictation or transcription of legal or detail-focused documents.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
