Job description

Our busy family law firm is growing, and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent clients well. The prime candidate has two years of experience and will work seamlessly with both senior partners and administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. If you have excellent research and writing skills and litigation experience, we would love to connect!


This position is for attorneys with an active license to practice in Georgia.

Compensation:

$125,000


Responsibilities:
  • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
  • Represent clients in court in custody, child support, divorce, and other family law actions
  • Help client's negotiate settlements

Qualifications:
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
  • Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
  • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
  • Minimum of 2 years family law litigation experience
